Who We Are

American Patriots of the Hudson Valley was founded in 2009 as a not-for-profit,  patriotic organization to help create, form and establish the peaceful movement of the Kingston Tea Party in New York State. We are a non-partisan grassroots group of patriots who conducted the first Kingston Tea Party on April 15, 2009. Our initial tea party protest ran in conjunction with over 850 nationwide tea parties that symbolized the original Boston Tea Party of 1773.

Our mission is to promote public awareness of the contents of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution and other founding documents. We are committed to upholding those documents by supporting the fundamental beliefs of the Founding Fathers. We also support their beliefs that the American Republic was established on the bedrock of truth that government derives it's just powers from the consent of the governed under the guidance of Divine Providence.

Today, 233 years after the initial signing of the Declaration of Independence, We The People, have discovered that government once again is bordering on a state of tyranny fueled by the concept of socialism. In recent decades we have observed the progressive transfer of power from the  people to the government. We have seen our liberties systematically erode, thus abridging our God given rights.

Ronald Reagan once stated:

"Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and lost it have never known it again". His words are consistent with what John Adams stated in 1775, "But a constitution of government once changed from freedom, can never been restored. Liberty once lost is lost forever".

We must always remember:

To protect  the motto of The United States, "In God We Trust".

To respect the sanctity of life.

To defend the Constitution of the United States.

To support limiting the size of government and its intervention in the lives of the governed.

To respect the flag of the United States and the Pledge of Allegiance.

To defend and honor our American heritage

To give honor to those who served this nation in a time of war and or peace.

To support the principle of capitalism which gives the individual the right to prosper without government interference.

To protest the burden of unfair taxation placed on THE PEOPLE.

To secure our borders by prohibiting illegal immigration.

To endorse and support statesman and stateswomen (not politicians) who are campaigning for elected offices and share the same values and principles this country was founded upon.

To denounce terrorism and to remind our government officials that the act is properly addressed as it is.

 "GOD GOVERNS IN THE

AFFAIRS OF MEN"

Benjamin Franklin
